Questions, answered properly

88 answers to the things we are actually asked - sizing, delivery, returns, payment and care. Every figure on this page is the one checkout uses, so nothing here can quietly go out of date.

Ordering

Placing one, changing one, and what happens straight afterwards.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Before it is despatched, usually yes. Write to support@ramkthrift.space with your order number and say what you would like changed. The sooner the better: the window is the 2-3 it sits with us being picked and checked.

After it is despatched, no - not because we are being difficult, but because it is physically in a van. At that point the thing to do is let it arrive and send it back. 30 days from delivery, unworn and with tags on. Email support@ramkthrift.space to start a return and we will send instructions.

Size changes are the common one, and worth being direct about: there is no exchange process here. Return the piece and order the size you want. That is faster than waiting for us to receive one before sending another, and it means the size you want is reserved to you now rather than to nobody for a fortnight.

Did this help?
How do I place an order?

Choose your size and colour on the product page, add the piece to your bag, and open the bag when you are ready. Checkout asks for a delivery address, a delivery speed and a way to pay, in that order, on one page.

You do not have to make an account first. If you would like one, there is a tick box at checkout that creates it from the details you have already typed, which saves doing it twice.

A confirmation email follows within a minute or two. If it has not arrived in ten, check the spam folder before writing to us - an order confirmation from a shop you have just bought from is the single most commonly misfiled email there is.

Did this help?
I did not get an order confirmation. Did my order go through?

Almost always yes, and the email is the thing that went wrong rather than the order.

Two ways to check without waiting for us. Sign in and look at your account, where every order you have placed is listed with its status. Or use the order tracking page, which asks for an order number and the email address you used and needs no password at all.

If you cannot find the order in either place, it did not complete. Nothing will have been taken from your card - an authorisation that never became a payment falls off your statement on its own, usually within a few working days.

Still unsure, write to support@ramkthrift.space with the email address you used and we will look.

Did this help?
Can I add something to an order I have already placed?

We cannot add a line to an order once it exists - the payment was taken for what was in it.

What we can usually do is hold the first order and send both together when the second arrives, which saves you a second delivery charge if the first one did not reach $75. Write to support@ramkthrift.space with both order numbers as soon as you have placed the second.

If the first has already gone out, the second ships on its own and is charged on its own.

Did this help?
Do I need an account to order?

No. Checkout works as a guest and asks for nothing beyond what is needed to deliver the parcel and take the payment.

An account is worth having for three things: your order history in one place with every item linked back to the product, saved addresses so the next checkout is two clicks, and a password you can use to look up an order without digging out an order number.

You can also create one later with the same email address you ordered under, and the orders you placed as a guest will be waiting in it.

Did this help?
How do I know my order has been despatched?

A despatch notice goes out the moment the parcel leaves us, carrying the tracking number and a link to follow it.

Tracking often shows nothing at all for the first day. The number is issued when the label is printed, and the carrier has not scanned the parcel yet - it is not lost, it is in a van. If it has still not moved after two business days, tell us and we will chase it.

You can also look the order up at any time on the tracking page without signing in.

Did this help?
Can I order over the phone or on WhatsApp?

We can help you choose on the phone or on WhatsApp, and often do. We will not take card details over either.

That is a deliberate refusal, not a limitation. Card numbers read aloud down a phone line are not protected by anything - not by us, not by the card networks, and not by the rules that make an online checkout safe. Anybody who does take them that way is handling your card worse than this page will.

What we will do is answer the sizing question, check the stock, and send you a link to the right product page.

Did this help?
Something in my bag sold out before I paid. What happened?

Stock is held when an order is paid for, not when a piece goes into a bag. Until you have paid, anybody can buy the one you are looking at.

We know that is occasionally painful, and it is still the right way round. The alternative - reserving stock for a bag somebody abandoned four days ago - is how a shop ends up with a catalogue full of pieces nobody can buy and a stockroom full of pieces nobody did.

On a piece that has gone, use the notify button on the product page. It emails you once, when that exact size is back, and does nothing else with your address.

Did this help?
Is there a minimum order?

No. One pair of socks is an order.

The only figure worth knowing is $75, which is where delivery stops being charged. Below that, standard delivery is $6.90.

Did this help?
Do you sell wholesale, or to shops?

Yes, outside the website. We run wholesale and custom work as invoiced orders rather than through checkout, because the quantities, the terms and the delivery are all different.

Write to support@ramkthrift.space with what you are looking for, roughly how many, and when you need it. You will get a real answer about whether we can make it rather than a brochure.

Did this help?
Can I buy a gift card?

Not at the moment. The checkout can accept them, but we have not issued any, and we would rather say so plainly than leave a greyed-out box on the payment page implying otherwise.

If you want to buy something as a gift, the practical route is to order it to the recipient's address. Nothing in the parcel shows a price.

Sizing and fit

How our pieces run, and how to land the right size first time.

How do I find my size?

Measure a garment you already own and like, and compare it to the measurements on the product page. That is the one method that works, because it compares a real thing on your body to a real thing in our stockroom.

Every product page carries its own measurements and a fit note, because our own pieces do not all run the same way - a boxy overshirt and a slim tee cut from the same size chart fit differently on purpose.

The size guide has the full chart and how to take each measurement.

Did this help?
Do your clothes run small, large, or true to size?

It depends on the piece, and we say so on each one rather than claiming a house rule that is not true.

Read the fit note on the product page. It is written after the sample has been worn, not copied from a supplier sheet, and it will tell you plainly when something runs short in the body or narrow in the shoulder.

The reviews are the other honest source. Where a piece runs small, the people who bought it say so, and we do not edit that out.

Did this help?
I am between two sizes. Which should I take?

As a rule: size up for anything woven, outerwear, or anything you will wear a layer under. Stay at your size for jersey, which gives.

The better answer is on the product page, where the fit note usually addresses it directly for that piece.

If it is still a coin toss, write to support@ramkthrift.space with the piece and your usual size in a brand we are likely to know. We would rather spend two minutes on that than have the parcel come back.

Did this help?
Where are the measurements for a piece?

On the product page, in the accordion under the price, in the "Fit notes" and "Fabric and care" rows.

They are garment measurements, not body measurements - the piece laid flat, not the person wearing it. That is what lets you compare them to something in your own wardrobe.

If a measurement you need is not listed, ask. We can go and measure the actual garment.

Did this help?
Do you do petite, tall or extended sizes?

Only what is listed on each product page. We make in small runs, and a size that is not in the dropdown was not cut.

Where a piece runs long or short in the body, the fit note says so, which is sometimes enough to make a standard size work.

Tell us what you are looking for anyway. Sizes that get asked for repeatedly are the ones that get added to the next run.

Did this help?
Will it shrink when I wash it?

Washed as the label says, no more than a fraction, and our sizing already accounts for it.

Washed hot or tumbled dry, yes - cotton shrinks, and no finish prevents it. That is the single most common reason a garment that fitted stops fitting.

Cold wash, inside out, line dry. It takes longer and the piece lasts years longer for it.

Did this help?
Is the colour on screen the colour I will get?

Close, and not a promise. Every screen renders colour differently, and a phone on auto-brightness in daylight is the least reliable of all.

Our photographs are shot in daylight and are not colour-graded to flatter the product. What you see is what came back from the shoot.

If the shade matters - matching something you already own, for instance - say so before you order and we will describe it against something common, which is more use than another photograph.

Did this help?
What size is the model wearing?

Where we know it, it is on the product page with the model's height, because "it looks like that on her" is meaningless without both.

Where a product page does not carry it, ask and we will find out.

Did this help?

Shipping and delivery

What each service costs, how long it takes, and where it goes.

How much is delivery?

Standard delivery is $6.90, and free once your order passes $75.

Express is $14.00 and overnight is $29.00, where the destination allows them.

The exact figure for your address and basket is shown at checkout before you pay, and no charge is added after that point.

Did this help?
How long will my order take to arrive?

Two numbers, added together.

First, 2-3 with us. That is picking, checking and packing, and the checking is the part that stops a marked piece reaching you.

Then the carrier's transit time, which depends on the service you chose and where you are. Express and overnight buy you a faster van; they do not shorten the first window.

Transit is counted from despatch, not from when you ordered. An overnight service bought at midnight on Saturday is still picked on Monday. An order placed late on a Friday is not a slow order, it is an order placed on a Friday.

Did this help?
Do you ship internationally?

Yes, worldwide, from Compton, CA.

What matters more than the yes is who pays at the border, and the answer here is us - duty on international orders is collected at checkout, so nothing is owed on arrival and no parcel sits at a depot waiting for a payment you did not know was coming.

That is unusual and it is deliberate. A surprise customs bill is the worst thing that can happen to a parcel somebody is looking forward to.

Did this help?
Will I be charged customs duty or import tax?

Not on arrival. It is collected at checkout and shown in the total before you pay.

If a carrier does ask you for a payment on a RAMK parcel, do not pay it - send us a photograph of the notice and the tracking number and we will take it up with them. That is our mistake to fix, not yours to absorb.

Where a parcel goes back as a return, the duty paid on it is refunded with the order, because you did not keep the goods it was charged on.

Did this help?
Which carrier do you use?

It depends on the destination and the service you chose. The despatch notice names the carrier and carries the tracking link, so you will know before the parcel moves.

We do not let you pick the carrier at checkout. Offering a choice we cannot honour on every route would be a worse experience than quietly using whichever one actually serves your address well.

Did this help?
Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Before despatch, usually. Write to support@ramkthrift.space quickly with the order number and the correct address, and we will try.

After despatch, usually not. Once the carrier has it, a redirection is between you and them, using the tracking link in your despatch notice. Most carriers allow it; some charge for it.

Give an address where somebody can receive a parcel. We cannot be responsible for a parcel delivered correctly to an address that was typed incorrectly.

Did this help?
What happens if I am not in when it arrives?

That is the carrier's decision and follows their rules, not ours: a card through the door, a second attempt, a local pickup point, or a return to us after a number of days.

The tracking link is where you arrange it, and it is usually possible to pick a new day or a safe place from there.

If a parcel does come back to us unclaimed we will refund the goods. We cannot refund carriage that has already been spent, and we will say that rather than pretend otherwise.

A workplace, a building with a concierge, or a neighbour who is in during the day is more reliable than a house nobody is at.

Did this help?
My tracking has not updated in days. Is my parcel lost?

Usually not. The two normal causes are a label printed before the parcel was collected, and a parcel sitting in a sorting hub that does not scan on entry.

If it has not moved for two business days, write to us. Do not wait out of politeness, and do not assume we can see something you cannot - we read the same tracking page you do.

We will chase the carrier. Where a parcel is genuinely lost we will send another or refund it, whichever you prefer. We may ask you to confirm in writing that it did not arrive, because the carrier asks that of us.

Did this help?
My order arrived in two parcels. Is something missing?

Probably not. Occasionally an order ships in two parcels because one piece is in a different place from another.

Where that happens you get a despatch notice for each, and you are never charged twice for carriage.

If you have had one parcel and no second despatch notice, that is worth asking about.

Did this help?
Can I collect my order instead of having it delivered?

Not as a checkout option. We are not set up as a shop front and there is nobody at a counter to hand a parcel over.

If you are local and this matters, write to support@ramkthrift.space and ask. It is a conversation rather than a button.

Did this help?
Do you deliver at weekends or on public holidays?

Carriers do deliver at weekends on some services and in some places; we cannot guarantee it and do not sell it as a feature.

What we can tell you is that our own window is business days. An order placed at a weekend or on a public holiday begins its 2-3 on the next business day.

Did this help?
Something is delayed and it is nobody we can shout at. What now?

Weather, customs, strikes and peak season all slow parcels down, and none of them consult us.

Where something is delayed beyond anything reasonable, write to us and we will either chase it or refund it. We would rather refund an order that has become an annoyance than defend a delivery estimate.

Did this help?

Returns and refunds

The window, the conditions, and how the money comes back.

What is your returns policy?

30 days from delivery, unworn and with tags on. Email support@ramkthrift.space to start a return and we will send instructions.

The window runs from the day the parcel is delivered, not from the day you ordered.

This is our own policy and it sits on top of whatever the law gives you. In the UK and the EU you also have a separate statutory right to cancel a distance purchase within fourteen days of delivery, and that right is yours whatever this page says.

The returns page sets out the detail: condition, exceptions, and what happens when something is faulty rather than simply unwanted.

Did this help?
How do I start a return?

Write to support@ramkthrift.space with your order number and say what is coming back. You will get return instructions and an address by reply, usually the same day.

There is no form to fill in, no reference number to generate, and you do not have to explain why.

To be straight with you about one thing: we do not print prepaid return labels. Some shops do and we do not yet, so a return is posted the ordinary way and we settle the cost with you - which is why the email comes first.

Did this help?
What condition does a return have to be in?

Unworn, with its tags on, in a condition we could sell it in.

Trying something on is not wearing it. Put it on, look in a mirror, take it off again - that is exactly what the window is for.

A garment that has been worn out, washed, altered or scented is not returnable, because it cannot be sold to the next person.

Keep the tags attached. A cut tag is the one thing we cannot put back. The original bag is helpful but not required; any packaging that gets it here intact is fine.

Did this help?
How long does a refund take?

We refund once the parcel reaches us and has been looked at, and we aim to do it the same day.

After that it is your bank's timetable, not ours. Commonly a few working days, occasionally longer.

You will get an email when the refund is sent. If that email has arrived and the money has not, the delay is at your bank and they can see more than we can.

Did this help?
Where does my refund go?

Back to the method you paid with. We cannot send it anywhere else, and the payment provider will not let us.

That includes a card that has since expired or been replaced - the bank routes it to the replacement account. If the account is closed entirely, speak to your bank first; they will usually have a process.

Did this help?
Do I get the delivery charge back?

Where the whole order goes back, yes - the goods and the standard delivery you paid.

We do not refund the extra cost of an upgraded delivery, because that service was actually provided. If you paid $14.00 for express, the standard portion comes back and the upgrade does not.

Where only part of an order goes back, the delivery charge stays, because the parcel still had to be sent.

Did this help?
Can I exchange something for a different size?

There is no exchange process, on purpose.

Return the piece and order the size you want. It is faster than waiting for us to receive one before sending another, and in the meantime the size you want is reserved to nobody - which is the part that catches people out at other shops.

If the size you want sells out while your return is in transit, tell us and we will do what we can.

Did this help?
My order arrived faulty, damaged or wrong. What do I do?

That is not a return in the ordinary sense and it is not your cost.

Write to support@ramkthrift.space with your order number and a photograph. We will put it right: a replacement, a repair where that is better, or a refund. Which of those happens is largely your choice.

Fair wear from ordinary use is not a fault. A seam that gives way in a fortnight is, and so is a zip that fails, and so is a colour that runs the first time it is washed according to its own care instructions.

Your legal rights over faulty goods stand whatever this page says, and nothing here reduces them.

Did this help?
Is there anything you cannot take back?

A small number of items cannot be returned once unsealed, for reasons of hygiene. Where that applies it is written on the product page, before you buy, not discovered afterwards.

Nothing else is excluded. There is no list of final-sale items and no category quietly outside the policy - a piece bought in a flash sale comes back on the same terms as one bought at full price.

Did this help?
Can I return something I bought in a sale?

Yes, on exactly the same terms as anything else.

"Sale items are final" is a common rule and it is not ours. A discount is a reason to buy something, not a reason to be stuck with it.

Did this help?
I am returning from outside the country you ship from. Anything different?

The same window and the same conditions apply.

Mark the parcel clearly as returned goods. A return treated as a new commercial import can attract a charge we are then unable to recover, and that is worth the thirty seconds it takes to write on the label.

Duty you paid at checkout comes back with the refund.

Did this help?
My return has been delivered but I have not been refunded.

Write to support@ramkthrift.space with the order number and the return tracking.

Almost everything that goes wrong with a return is a parcel that has not been booked in yet or a refund sitting between two banks. Both are quicker to look up than to worry about.

Did this help?

Payment and security

What we take, what we store, and what we never see.

What payment methods do you accept?

Card, in USD, on every order.

Whatever else is available shows as an option at checkout. The payment page is the authority on this - if a method is not offered there, it is not currently accepted, whatever any other page says.

Did this help?
Can I pay cash on delivery?

Yes, where it is offered at checkout for your address.

It works differently from a card order and it is worth understanding. No money is taken when you place it: the order is recorded as awaiting payment and waits for somebody here to confirm it before it is picked. That makes it slower than paying by card, not faster.

Did this help?
Is it safe to put my card details into this site?

Your card number is never typed into our server and is never stored in our database. The payment fields belong to the payment provider, and the number goes from your browser to them directly.

What we receive back is an authorisation, the last four digits and the card type. That is all we can see, and it is all we want to see - a shop that stores card numbers is a shop with something worth stealing.

The whole site is served over HTTPS, including every page that has a form on it.

Did this help?
When is the money actually taken?

At checkout, when the order is placed.

If an order fails partway through, your bank may show a pending authorisation for a short time. It is not a charge and it falls off on its own, usually within a few working days. If you see one that has not cleared after a week, send us the date and amount and we will confirm from our side.

Did this help?
My card was declined and I do not know why.

We cannot see why, and that is not us being unhelpful - the bank deliberately does not tell the shop. We get "declined" and nothing more.

The usual causes are an address that does not match the one your bank has, a card not enabled for international or online payments, a spending limit, or a bank's own fraud rule triggered by an unfamiliar shop.

Try a different card first. If it keeps happening, your bank can see the actual reason in seconds and we cannot see it at all.

Did this help?
What currency am I charged in?

USD. Every price on the site is in it and the total at checkout is the amount that leaves your account.

If your card is in another currency, your bank converts at their rate and may add a fee of their own. That conversion is between you and them, and neither the rate nor the fee is something we see or set.

Did this help?
Will I get a receipt or an invoice?

The order confirmation email is your receipt and lists everything you paid for, including delivery and any duty.

If you need a proper invoice with a business name on it - for an expense claim, or because you are buying for a company - write to support@ramkthrift.space with the order number and what it needs to say, and we will issue one.

Did this help?
Do you store my card details for next time?

No. There is no saved-card feature here, and you will type your card in again next time.

That is a small inconvenience in exchange for a straightforward promise: there is nothing on our side for anybody to take.

Did this help?
I think I have been charged twice.

Send us the order number and the two amounts and dates from your statement, and we will check the same day.

The usual explanation is one charge and one pending authorisation from a first attempt that failed - two lines on a statement, one of which disappears. Where it is genuinely two charges, we refund one immediately and do not wait to be chased for it.

Did this help?
Is there sales tax or VAT on my order?

Whatever applies is calculated at checkout and shown in the total before you pay. There is no tax added after that screen.

For international orders, import duty is included too, so the total you agree to is the total the order costs you.

Did this help?

Products and care

Fabric, washing, stock, and how the lines differ.

What are your clothes made of?

The exact composition is on every product page under "Fabric and care", with the care instructions beside it.

We do not use a house blend or a single mill. A piece is cut in whatever the piece needs, which is why the fabric row is per-product rather than a line in the footer.

The materials page covers the fibres we use most and why.

Did this help?
How should I wash and care for my pieces?

Follow the label, which is on the product page as well as in the garment.

As a rule that holds for almost everything we make: wash cold, inside out, with like colours, and line dry. Heat is what kills clothes - it shrinks cotton, tires elastane, and sets a stain you could otherwise have lifted.

Wash less than you think. Airing a piece overnight does more for it than another cycle.

Did this help?
Will dark colours run in the wash?

A deeply dyed piece can lose a little colour in its first wash or two. That is normal in any garment dyed to a true black or a saturated indigo, and it settles.

Wash it cold, inside out, with like colours for the first few washes and you will not have a problem.

A colour that runs badly, or keeps running, is a fault and not a feature. Tell us.

Did this help?
When will a sold-out piece be back?

Sometimes never, honestly. We produce in small runs and not everything is repeated.

Use the notify button on the product page: it emails you once, if and when that exact size comes back, and your address is not used for anything else.

If a piece has been discontinued rather than sold out, we would rather tell you than leave you waiting on an email that is not coming. Ask.

Did this help?
What are your lines, and how do they differ?

A line is a family of pieces that share a cut, a fabric direction and a purpose, rather than a season.

The lines page lists them with what each one is for. It is the fastest way to find the rest of something if one piece has already worked for you.

Did this help?
Where are your clothes made?

In small runs, which is the part that shapes everything else - the sizes we cut, how often something comes back, and how much of it there is.

The about page has the fuller answer. If you want specifics about a particular piece, ask and we will tell you what we know about it rather than a line of marketing.

Did this help?
Are the photographs of the actual product?

Yes. Shot in daylight, on the actual garment, and not colour-graded to flatter it.

There are no rendered images and no stock photography on this site. If a photograph looks like the piece, that is because it is the piece.

Did this help?
A piece I bought has gone wrong after a few wears. Is that covered?

If it is a fault, yes, and the thirty-day window is not the limit on that - a fault is a fault whenever it shows up.

Send a photograph and the order number to support@ramkthrift.space. A seam that gives way, a zip that fails, a hem that comes undone, a colour that runs when washed as instructed: all faults.

Ordinary wear is not. A cotton tee worn weekly for two years has not failed, it has been used.

Did this help?
Do you offer repairs or alterations?

Not as a service, and we will sometimes do one anyway.

Where something has gone wrong that a repair fixes better than a replacement - a zip, a seam - write to us and ask. The answer depends on the piece and we would rather look at it than give a policy.

Did this help?
How do I know if something is in stock in my size?

The size selector on the product page is live. A size you cannot select is a size we do not have.

The stock figure behind it counts what is actually on the shelf less what is already in paid orders, so it does not promise you a piece that is on its way to somebody else.

Did this help?

Discounts and sales

Codes, flash sales, and what can be used with what.

How do I use a discount code?

Enter it in the discount box at checkout. The order summary updates as soon as it is accepted, so you see the new total before you pay rather than after.

If a code is refused, the message says why - expired, already used, below a minimum, or not applicable to what is in the bag.

Codes are not case sensitive. Spaces copied in from an email are the usual culprit when a valid code will not take.

Did this help?
Can I use two discount codes on one order?

One code per order.

A code also does not stack on top of a flash sale price - the sale price is already the discount. Where both would apply, you get whichever is better for you, not whichever is better for us.

Did this help?
I forgot to add my code. Can it be applied afterwards?

Write to support@ramkthrift.space with the order number and the code before the parcel ships and we will usually sort it.

After despatch it is harder but still worth asking. We would rather refund the difference than have somebody feel caught out by a box they did not notice.

Did this help?
How do flash sales work?

A flash sale is a real price for a real window, shown with the time it ends on it.

There is no fake original price. Where a piece shows a reduction, the higher figure is what it was actually selling for.

When the clock runs out the price goes back. A piece sitting in your bag at the sale price is not held at it - the price is checked when the order is placed.

Did this help?
If something I bought goes on sale next week, can I have the difference?

Not as a policy, and it is worth asking anyway if it is within a few days.

The alternative is simple enough: the piece is returnable for 30 days, so you can send it back and buy it at the new price. Several people do exactly that, and we would rather point it out than let somebody feel stung.

Did this help?
Do you have a newsletter, and will it fill my inbox?

We write when there is something to say - a run back in stock, a new line, a sale that is actually a sale.

Unsubscribing is one click in any email, and it works immediately rather than in "up to ten days".

We do not sell, rent or share your address. The privacy page says so in the formal words.

Did this help?
Is there a student, key worker or first-order discount?

No standing scheme. We would rather price honestly all year than run a permanent discount on an inflated price.

Where there is a code, it is announced, it is time-limited, and it is real.

Did this help?

Your account

Signing in, addresses, passwords and your order history.

How do I see my past orders?

Sign in and open your account. Every order is listed with its status, and each item links back to the product so you can see exactly which colour and size you bought - which is the thing nobody remembers two years later.

Without an account, use the order tracking page with your order number and the email address you ordered under.

Did this help?
I have forgotten my password.

Use the "forgot password" link on the sign-in page. A reset link arrives by email and is good for a short time.

If it does not arrive, check spam, then check you are using the address you ordered under - an account under a work address and an order under a personal one is the usual explanation.

Did this help?
Somebody here set up my account and read me a password. Is that safe?

It is safe to use and you should change it.

A password generated for you and read out once is fine as a way in; it is not fine as the password you keep. Sign in, open your account, and set one of your own - it takes about twenty seconds.

Did this help?
How do I change my delivery address?

In your account, under addresses. You can keep more than one and choose between them at checkout.

Changing a saved address does not change an order that has already been placed. For that, write to support@ramkthrift.space quickly.

Did this help?
What do you do with my personal details?

Take your order, deliver it, and answer your questions about it. Nothing else.

We do not sell or rent your details. Your card number is never on our server at all. The privacy page sets out what is held, for how long, and who processes it on our behalf.

If you want to know exactly what we hold about you, write to support@ramkthrift.space and ask - you are entitled to it and you will get it.

Did this help?
Can you delete my account and my data?

Yes. Write to support@ramkthrift.space from the address on the account.

One honest caveat: we have to keep order and tax records for a legal period, so an order itself cannot be erased on request. Everything that is not a record we are required to keep goes.

Did this help?
How do I stop the emails?

Unsubscribe is in the footer of every marketing email and takes effect immediately.

Order emails are different and will keep coming - a despatch notice for a parcel on its way to you is not marketing, and switching it off would leave you wondering where your order was.

Reviews

Who can leave one, and what we do and do not edit.

Who can leave a review?

Anybody can write one, and a review from somebody who bought the piece is marked as such on the page.

Every review is read before it is published. That is moderation for abuse, spam and other people's personal details - not for sentiment.

Do you delete bad reviews?

No. A piece that runs small has reviews saying it runs small, and they stay up - they are the most useful thing on the page.

What gets removed is abuse, spam, somebody else's personal information, and reviews about a delivery problem rather than the garment, which we would rather fix by email than argue about publicly.

Did this help?
I left a review and it has not appeared.

It is waiting to be read. That is usually hours rather than days.

If a week has passed, write to support@ramkthrift.space - occasionally a review is caught by a spam filter it should not have been.

Some reviews are in another language. How do I read them?

They are translated into English underneath, with a link to see the original.

We translate rather than hide them, because somebody in another country describing how a piece fitted them is exactly as useful as somebody down the road doing it. The original wording is always one tap away, and we do not edit either version.

About RAMK

Who makes this, where, and how to reach a person.

How do I contact a real person?

Email support@ramkthrift.space and a person reads it, usually the same day.

If it is about an order, send the order number. We can then look the whole thing up before replying instead of asking you three questions first.

The contact page has every way of reaching us that is actually monitored. There is nothing listed there that goes to an unread inbox.

What are your opening hours?

The shop takes orders every hour of every day. The people do not.

Email is answered on business days, usually within a few hours. Something sent at two in the morning is read at the start of the next working day, not left for a week.

Do you have a physical shop?

No. This is where we sell.

Compton, CA 90220 is where we work and ship from, not a shop front - there is no rail to browse and nobody at a counter.

Who is RAMK, and what does own-label mean?

Own-label means we design and sell our own pieces rather than reselling other brands. There is no third party here taking a cut and no stock bought in by the pallet.

It is also why the runs are small and why some things do not come back. The about page tells the longer version.

Do you work with creators, or do collaborations?

Sometimes, and we read everything.

Write to support@ramkthrift.space with what you have in mind and a link to your work. A short specific message gets a real answer; a bulk pitch sent to forty shops does not.

Are you hiring?

Whatever is open is on the careers page.

If nothing is listed and you think you should be working here anyway, send it to support@ramkthrift.space. That has worked before.

I think I have found a bug, or something on the site is broken.

Please tell us - support@ramkthrift.space, with what you were doing and what happened, and a screenshot if you have one.

What page you were on and what phone or browser you were using is worth more than a careful description. Most things reported this way are fixed within a day or two.

Still stuck?

A real person reads every message, usually the same day. If it is about an order, send the order number and we can look it up before replying.
